Mr. Mathur's NHS practice includes reconstruction and corrective surgery of the breast, body contouring, and skin cancer treatment. He received specialist training in microsurgery, breast, and cosmetic surgery in India, the Middle East, Germany, and Scotland. Before settling in Essex, Mr. Mathur worked as a consultant at the Canniesburn Unit in Glasgow and the Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on topics such as breast reconstruction, nipple reconstruction, skin defect reconstruction using perforator flaps, correction of inverted nipples, prominent ear correction, and breast asymmetry. Mr. Mathur has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings and delivered the prestigious Sushruta Oration at the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India.
Additionally, Mr. Mathur is an Honorary Professor of Plastic Surgery at Jaipur National University in Rajasthan, India. He is a founding member of the Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery Association of India and helps organize the annual BRASCON meeting. He is passionate about training and educating young surgeons.
